The Fitzsimons Life Science District and the Anschutz Medical Campus, formerly the Fitzsimons Army Medical Center, began its transformation in the mid-1990s.
The site in Aurora is undergoing a $4.3 billion transformation into a square mile dedicated to excellence in patient care, education, basic science and applied research, as well as bioscience research and developmentp; is fast becoming one of the most advanced bioscientific communities in the world. Many of the historic sites at Fitzsimons will be preserved.
The 170-acre Colorado Science + Technology Park at Fitzsimons is located on the north side of the Fitzsimons Life Science District. The Science + Technology Park is designed specifically for the life science industry - and turnkey solutions are available as early as 2008.
