University Park at MIT
38 Sidney Street
Cambridge, MA 02139
From the project's onset, Forest City's vision for University Park included office, research and development, hotel, retail and residential uses. The University Park master plan - designed by Koetter Kim & Associates and winner of the Urban Land Institute's Award for Excellence - sets the framework for a dynamic urban environment and provides the facilities that allow for a diverse range of research and development.
Building by building, an industrial graveyard has morphed into a $750 million, 2.3 million square foot, bioscience and residential campus - uniting the park with the neighborhood, and further afield, making it one of the best known facilities of its kind in the United States.
